Wedding Album Guide

Your wedding album is the quintessential heirloom that tells the story of your day, so it is important to choose the right images. While the task of narrowing down your favorites can seem daunting, this guide is here to help!

1.    The Technical Stuff: Once you receive flash drive of images you will pick 60-85 photos. Next, you’ll email me the number of the images in numerical order. I custom design your album within a month of receiving your images. Then proofs will be emailed to you for review to either approve the design or to make any requests or changes prior to printing.

2.    Keep in Mind: Your album acts as the first heirloom of your new life together as a couple. Remember the storytelling aspect as you are selecting your photos! It is essential to have a flow to the images, representing all aspects of your day.  Variety is key!

3.    The Breakdown: Below is a basic outline to help with the process of selecting your images. This will ensure the key points of the day are covered. Try to select your absolute favorites from each set of photos to avoid repetition.

  • 8-10 Details (Dress, Rings, Jewelry/Personal Mementos, Invitations, Décor/Florals)

  • 3-5 images of getting ready (Bride & Groom)

  • 3-5 Bridal Portraits

  • 3-5 Grooms Portraits

  • 3-5 First Look (if applicable)

  • 5-8 Couples Portraits

  • 5-10 Ceremony

  • 5-10 Family/group portraits

  • 3-5 Bridal Party

  • 3-5 Cocktail Hour/candid photos

  • 10-15 Reception (Entrance, First Dance, Speeches, Cake Cutting, Parent Dances, Dancing)

  • 1-2 Exit/Nighttime Shot
